Without question this is one of the most eye opening books I have ever read. It sheds so much light or insight on the behaviors of people but emphasis is place on those of African heritage. I learned a lot about myself, how I treat others, how others treat me and themselves. Marcus speaks to a myriad of ways in which we have been taught by other cultures and continue to practice negative behaviors that undermine individual and collective respect one person to another. By the end of this book you will have asked yourself are and/or do you know a violator? I featured Marcus not too long ago for my Street Portraits and interview series. Check it out here.
